Erin and Carson celebrated the best day of their lives on a warm August Friday at the beautifully historic Ardmore Station in North Alabama. I was thrilled to spend their wedding day alongside them, especially after Erin stood beside me as one of my bridesmaids 4 years prior as I married my husband. Our mutual friend and my college roommate was able to second shoot this wedding with me, which just made it all even better!
There’s a sweet little story behind this wedding. Five years before this day, while we were still in college, I told Erin, “When you marry Carson, I will be your wedding photographer.”Â
At the time, it was a total joke. They weren’t even dating, and I I wasn’t really pursuing photography as a career.
But, it happened. I sure am thankful for how life ended up for these two, and I can’t wait to share more of their wedding day! Â Isn’t it awesome how God works things out when we least expect but most need them?Â
Since this date, we have lost two precious people who were part of their celebration. While our hearts were shattered with each loss, I am even more immensely thankful for these captured moments that preserve their role in this joyful occasion and hold these images even closer as they become more and more meaningful.
Carson and Erin, I can honestly say that there is no one better out there for each of you than each other, and I pray that your life together is joyful and blessed. I am so honored that 5 years later, you chose me to capture your wedding day, and I loved getting to reconnect with so many people as we celebrated your marriage together!
I love you both and can’t wait to see what the future holds for the Hagoods!
